Description:
    The limited edition Genghis Khan Tourbillon Minute Repeater is a remarkable time piece from Ulysse Nardin. It becomes immediately apparent that this is a special piece when one sees the gorgeous hand-carved 18K rose gold figures depicted on the black onyx dial. What is even more special, and becomes apparent later is that the jacquemarts which are automations of art depicting figures carved in metal indicate the hours by striking swords and other movements.
    The Genghis Khan will be produced over the next 6-8 years in a limited edition of 30 pieces each in 18K white and pink gold.
    This piece boasts a one minute tourbillon which is integrated into the black onyx reloj dial, and a Westminster which has four gongs, each with a different tone (Do-Re-Mi-Sol). When the repeater is active, the hour sound is Sol and the minute sound is Mi. All four gongs sound in three different sequences for the quarters, and the movements of the Jaquemarts are synchronized with the sound of the gongs.
    This piece also has a scratch-resístant sapphire crystal, and a water resístance to 100 feet/30 meters.
